Administration and Configuration – DQM Connect

Installation

An installation is only necessary if you run a local FirstSpirit server. Only FirstSpirit server admins can install modules.
If your FirstSpirit is hosted in the Crownpeak Cloud, contact the Crownpeak support team. The support team will install and configure DQM Connect on your instance upon request.

Installing the DQM Connect Module

Navigate to ServerManager > Server > Server Properties > Modules.
Install the DQM Connect module. The .fsm file is provided by customer support.
Start the DQM Connect service and enable the autostart.

Configuring the DQM Connector service

To use DQM Connect in ContentCreator, you need to configure the integration point to DQM. It consists of the DQM API URL and the DQM Highlight URL. Furthermore, you must configure one or more endpoints. Each endpoint consists of a name, a DQM website ID, and a DQM API key. Endpoints make it possible for you to assign FirstSpirit projects to different website IDs.

Navigate to the DQM Connector service in the ServerManager.
ServerManager > Server > Properties > Modules > DQM Connect > DQM Connector
Select the DQM Connector service and click Configure.
→ A new window will open.
The DQM API URL and the DQM Highlight URL are already preset for you. The URLs can usually remain unchanged.
The Proxy URL is optional (provided by your network administrator if needed).
To create a new endpoint, click on New.
→ A new window will open.
Enter a Name, the DQM Website ID, and the DQM API Key. The name is for display and differentiation of different website IDs when assigning a project a website ID. The website ID and API key will be provided by customer support.
Save your changes.
Optional: Edit or Remove an existing endpoint.
Once everything is set up, click on Test Connection to check if the connections are working.

To use DQM Connect in the ContentCreator, you must configure at least the Default Configuration. This configuration is used when no project-specific endpoint is activated.

Configuring the ContentCreator web application

Navigate to ServerManager > Server > Properties > Web applications.
In the Configure global web apps section, add DQM Integration Web App to the ContentCreator web application.

Roll out all enhanced ContentCreator web applications.
If you have configured project-related ContentCreator instances, add the DQM Integration Web App:
ServerManager > Project selection > Web components

Aktivierung

The FirstSpirit project admin needs to activate the DQM Connect module individually in each project and select an endpoint.

To activate the DQM Connect ProjectApp for a project:

Navigate to ServerManager > Project selection > Project components.
Add the DQM Connect ProjectApp.
→ DQM Connect is now active in your project.

To select an endpoint for a project and thereby assign it to a configured website ID:

Navigate to ServerManager > Project selection > Project components > DQM Connect ProjectApp.
Click on Configure.
→ A new window will open.
Select the appropriate endpoint for your project from the dropdown.
Click OK to save your changes.
