1 Administration

Update of internally used software

As of the release 2026.6, the following internally used software has been updated.

  • Google Web Toolkit („GWT“)
    Update from version 2.12.2 to version 2.13.0
  • libwebp
    Update from version 1.3.2 to version 1.6.0
    The SharpYUV encoding (useSharpYUV=true) was corrected, as it was previously not applied correctly.
  • Spring Boot
    Update from version 4.0.3 to version 4.0.6

Please note the general advice that when developing modules or scripts, only the FirstSpirit API should be used. When using third-party libraries, they should be integrated as "isolated".

3 Module: Collaboration

Comment editing in FirstSpirit Collaboration

In the Collaboration Report, comments in conversations can now be edited retrospectively. Edited messages are marked with a "Last edited" timestamp, and changes are immediately visible to other users. The new method MessageAgent#update is available via the API.

4 Module: Multisite Management

API for MSM bundles

A new API for managing bundles has been introduced for Multisite Management. Bundles can be created, edited, deleted, and their subscriptions and elements managed via the new BundleAgent.

During updates via Multisite Management (MSM), language-dependent form field values in the target project were not correctly overwritten when the corresponding values in the source project were empty or never set. This behavior has been corrected for MSM. Empty values from the source project now overwrite existing values in the target project. For ContentTransport and External Synchronization, a new option importEmptyFormFields has been introduced, which can be enabled if needed (default: disabled, previous behavior remains unchanged).

When setting the clientCookieNames option, there could be an incompatibility with Tomcat 11 because the cookie format specified in RFC 2109 is no longer supported by this Tomcat version. With the current release, it is ensured that the format from RFC 6265 is used.
