1 Administration
1.1 Java 21 for the launch of FirstSpirit desktop applications
Java 21 (21.0.9+10-LTS 64bit Eclipse Adoptium) is now used by default to start the FirstSpirit desktop applications (ServerManager, SiteArchitect).
The module “FirstSpirit Launcher JRE” enables customers and partners to easily switch between different Java versions for operating the FirstSpirit Desktop Apps. The desired Java version can be selected server-wide, separately for Microsoft Windows and macOS.
With the current release, the included Java versions have been updated.
- 21.0.9+10 (Default - the version delivered with the FirstSpirit Launcher)
- 25.0.1+8
1.2 Compatibility of FirstSpirit with Tomcat 11
From the current release onwards, the use of Tomcat 11 is recommended.
The version of the integrated web server module "Embedded Tomcat" has been updated to 11.0.13.
The module "Embedded Tomcat" provided with FirstSpirit is not suitable for production use and should only be used for testing purposes.1.3 Server info download in ServerMonitoring
The Health Center of ServerMonitoring now offers the download of the Server Info ZIP (button "Download Server Info"). This contains important information that may be necessary in case of error analysis by technical support.
Access is only possible for server admins.

3 FirstSpirit Omnichannel Manager
Buttons in OCM
In OCM 3.0, there is now the possibility to use buttons to provide standard functions such as "Create section." The functionality is similar to an FS_BUTTON in a statically generated preview.

5 Search
Apache Lucene version 9 as the standard version
The version of Apache Lucene used for the search index has been updated to version 9.11.1. This requires rebuilding the search indexes, which is automatically done in the background when opening a project and may take some time depending on the size of the project.
If the automatic upgrade is to be temporarily suspended, a fixed index version can be configured in the fs-server.conf:
